On Saturday 13th November 2010 Hazel and Malcolm held a Music evening with a buffet and wine refreshments. At the start of the evening, 22 guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and were entertained by Steph Scott, no relation, who sang to her own guitar accompaniment. Steph’s contribution was followed by a music quiz comprising of 27 introductions to popular songs, show tunes, film scores and classics. These tracks, played just long enough to tease, were compiled by Malcolm, caused much head scratching. The answers were defined by playing a second selection of tracks which were long enough to identify the tunes. Contestants were paired up by selecting names at random. The winning couple managed of score of 18 out of 27. Sylvia and Malcolm then sang a small selection of songs before a raffle was drawn to complete the evening. Our sincere thanks go to all who made the evening a great success by providing raffle prizes, helping with catering, entertaining, sending donations in lieu of attending and to Hazel and Malcolm for hosting this fun event. The total raised was £180.
